Pneumatic Motor

I built this pneumatic motor from scratch out of steel and aluminum in the Santa Clara University Mechanical Engineering Machine Shop. The rounded parts were machined on a lathe. The rectangular base and square pillar were cut on a programmable CNC milling machine.

The pneumatic motor in action.

The pneumatic motor takes in pressurized air from the top tube and converts it into rotational motion. The machine shop had a demonstration electric generator and LED lights that I connected it to.
